Wax Carving Course
Suitable for all levels, you will learn how to carve wax to create your own unique piece of jewellery. By the end of the course you will be able to cut and carve wax confidently, develop your own designs in wax to be cast in silver and understand the wax carving and casting process.
Russell Lownsbrough FIPG ran this 2 day course last June, he has been wax carving for over 20 years and has won several awards for his work from the Goldsmith’s Craftsmanship and Design awards, the Royal Society of British Sculptors and being named as Professional Jeweller Hot 100 in 2014. He is currently a judge on the Goldsmith’s Craftsmanship and Design Awards[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/3″][vc_single_image image=”19305″ img_size=”full”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]
Polishing and finishing is a highly skilled craft. A professional finish will transform a piece of jewellery or silver into a work of art.
Stephen M Goldsmith FIPG MNGG is a renowned master polisher and we were honoured to welcome him to Hartlepool to open a 2 day course at Mark Lloyd School of Jewellery in March of 2019. Stephen’s course was the first at The Phrontistery of Alchemy and he was kind enough to open the school by cutting the ribbon at our launch event. The course was a real success and the 6 students, who attended and received their polishing certificates, were full of praise for the course. A hugely successful launch.
